Soundcard Issue on Acer Aspire 1410
« on: November 03, 2010, 01:08:19 PM »
Hi Folks,

I am having a problem getting a Realtek soundcard to function on an Acer Aspire 1410 with PCLinuxOS Minime 2010.10.  Whenever PCLOS boots, I get an error the HDA Intel (ALC269 Analog) does not work and there is no audio.  Also KMix will not start at all.  The weird part is that running from the live CD, KMix starts fine and shows the device properly and I do not get the multimedia system error above.  I am not sure why there would be a difference running from the live disc and from a fresh install?

The hardware is detected correctly in either case I think (please see below).  I have tried a couple other things like putting acer in the model field to no avail.

Thank you for any assistance.
