Help find links for errata
« on: November 01, 2010, 09:49:23 AM »
Hey guys.
I am seeking links to help me better understand the primary differences between rpm, deb etc.. also there was a .package system or something a few years back designed act more less like an exe.

I am VERY curious about the relationship with X.org components and video drivers/kernel components. From the perspective of an outsider the switching of resolutions and refresh rates in Linux is...unusual. As I understand it so far this is because there is a high level of specificity for video modules and kernel integration. I would like to read more on the topic and am having 0 luck with google.

Thanks guys.
Linux is perfect, let's stop developing it.
