E17 desktop icon size
« on: November 01, 2010, 03:42:04 AM »
Pleased with the updated E17, one small problem with desktop icons.

The default size is 48(x48) and looks a bit 'clunky' on my laptop. I can set to 32 but can not make the change persistant. Does not survive a reboot & reverts to 48. I have tried all combinations of the two 'use-default' radio buttons in the view mode dialog to no avail. see

Any advice please.

You have to set the default icon size in the settings panel
Menu/Settings/settings panel - navigate to the files tab and click file manager - set the slider to the desired icon size and click apply.

Every windows machine has an un-patchable critical vulnerability... Its called "Power ON" switch.

Thank you very much for the prompt reply.  That works, although with the old blue theme I use, the settings panel is corrupt, - revert to original theme, make the changes and back to blue theme.  Love it.

Fire up synaptic and look for Agust, there are 2 packages to install with updated themes that work with the current e17 packages.
For the Win7 theme there's also a matching gtk and icon theme in synaptic.
