Changing fonts in E17
« on: October 31, 2010, 08:34:41 PM »
I have played a little with the macpup e17 and found changing fonts quite simple, however after downloading and installing the PCLinuxOsE17 (as listed on the home page) I have found that font changing isn't the same. I have been through the Settings menu, changed the font (after allowing custom fonts), apply, close - nothing happens, logout, reboot, restart all have the same result -no change. In Macpup the change is instantaneous, including menus.

One other thing that had me quite confused was that the installed version did not contain any of the themes shown on the sample screenshot on the main E17 details information, I can't be using another version since the checksums are the same.

How does one make these changes.

Ray

Belay that, it seems that the font I chose did not have a bold/italic setting - so the font part is redundant - sorry about that

Thanks Tex. I am getting size mismatches from the nluug-nl/ibiblio repositories, are these necessary.

Try a different repository as nluug may be syncing from the primary mirror at this time. Also please note we are using the latest beta release from the E-17 development team so there may be a few minor bugs. Final release of the Enlightenment Desktop is scheduled before the end of the year.

Many thanks Tex, downloaded the themes, even my wife is impressed, brilliant work. I'll try to install my Vmware Workstation on this, I'm looking to change it's home from Win7 and this is looking perfect.

Great work to you all.
