I just ran into the same problem. You need to install the Drak3D package. After you do, you will have the option to select "Compiz Fusion". Select that, and log out. When you log back in, you will have 3D Desktop efects.

i have it installed already... but i cant get the "compiz fusion" option available....
what is ur laptop?? is it the same as mine??

If you search the forums, you should find that the i3 probably will not be supported fully in PCLOS until xorg is updated (which would include the update intel drivers).

I'm sure that is not what you wanted to hear, but... :(

That would be an answer that needs to come from Tex and the gang...but I would imagine it will be ready...
