e 17 crashs after update help solved thanks texstar

hi all
ive installed e 17 3 times looks like a fine os but every time i install then install all updates through synaptic e 17 crashs  
as soon as the updates are in the computer restarts then
it will not get past the load screen
any ideas?

Yes. Throw away the old cd and download a new one. The old CD is not upgradable anymore.
