(Solved) Logo too big ... E17 live mode will not start.
« on: October 29, 2010, 02:55:51 AM »
Sorry for my English, I am Spanish.

I am new to linux, very new, but very old with Windows.

I want to try the latest version of E17 and I can not, at boot says "logo too big" and enters a loop which is always saying the same thing. The previous version started well. What happens?  :(

Thanks.

Hi coco,

welcome to the forums!

Under Windows you can check the md5sum easily with matmd5 (search for it on the web).
All that is is good. PCLinuxOS is.

Thanks

My md5sum is 2BDC1A4AE93915CB0311A963064A3DE5 and is not the same:

http://www.pclinuxos.com/?page_id=215

but is not the same version, my md5sum is the new version E17 and the md5sum web page is the previous version.

That's the old e17 checksum....

Take the one here:
http://ftp.nl.freebsd.org/os/Linux/distr/texstar/pclinuxos/live-cd/pclinuxos-enlightenment-2010.10.md5sum

(you also can download there the latest other ISO's - http://ftp.nl.freebsd.org/os/Linux/distr/texstar/pclinuxos/live-cd/,
but remember there was not an official announcement..... so that ISO's can change again e.g. tomorrow)

Thanks, I'll see.

With this version the bug is the same:

Edit:

The md5sum is now the same but the bug follows.

Strange, if the md5sums are both correct, some e17 probably will have to come in here.....

I prefer the previous blue desktop, too dark now.
