« on: October 26, 2010, 08:06:17 AM »
I can't get the wallpaper I pick to "stick" across reboots, restarts. Do I have to modify an .init file somewhere?

thanks

When a change of wallpaper doesn't stick, open ~/<you>/.config/pcmanfm and delete the files there. Don't delete the folder named default. Open it and delete the pcmanfm.conf and main.lxde files there. Do not delete the desktop-items-0.conf file. Set your wallpaper. Log out. Log in. You should be able to change wallpapers now and have the change stick.

ok, now I have a different issue. seems deleting all of pcmanfm's files got ride of the switch user command which allowed me to browse then open a folder as root easily. I have no idea how to put it back... I mean I know I have to type the command in when it tells me there is no switch user command. I just don't know what to type...lol

pop pcmanfm and edit preferences --advanced  and add gksu %s to switch user command
