<Answered>Gnumeric: Adding Formula To New Rows
« on: October 20, 2010, 12:20:48 PM »
I have a simple checking balance sheet set up. I have been adding rows by pasting my formula one row at a time into new rows. This morning I apparently hit the wrong key and managed to paste to several rows in one stroke. I'd love to do that every time but I don't know how I did it. Anyone know how to populate multiple new rows with the formula with out doing it one row at a time?

I've never used Gnumeric but have used other spreadhseets

What happens when you grab the bottom right hand corner of a cell with your mouse and drag it down?

Just copy one cell and paste it to a highlighted range. You might have to contend with making cells in the formula absolute, as in $C4, C$4 or $C$4, to make the formula work at it's destination.

That worked. Just had to click copy on the context menu first. Thank you.

Thank you.  Menotu beat you to the solution but I appreciate the quick response.
