printerdrake not in task-printing
« on: October 20, 2010, 10:51:17 AM »
I did a test-install of the e17 smurfslover test iso....

There weren't any printer / cups /.... things available;
so I installed task-printing-hp (I have a HP printer);

I fired up PCLinuxOS Control Center: didn't found a printer section;
I thought it was maybe included (as dependency) in the task-printing meta-package, so I installed that.... still nothing....

Then I thought: which drak-thing was it?
I remembered::: printerdrake
After installing that package, I got the printer section back in PCC,

So I would like to ask if it is possible to include it in task-printing (or maybe even in the task-printing-[printer-manufacturer]) meta-packages

OK, on the Dutch forum they said that task-printing is a dependency of printerdrake (and not the other way around)

Is it possible to make a dependency in 2 directions? (because it is most intuitive to install task-printing to get everything of printing...... some people even may not know the existence of printerdrake)
