Finish installed remaster problem
« on: October 17, 2010, 05:20:54 AM »
I've made a e17 remaster for the e17 users as the official iso hasn't been updated since the initial 2010 release.
Livecd runs fine and fast but after install (which goes fine) and reboot there's no prompt for root password and creating of user account.
I'm i missing something?

Every windows machine has an un-patchable critical vulnerability... Its called "Power ON" switch.

Thanks Texstar.
Is the e17-themes-agust dependency on the ecomorph package really necessary? It takes away a lot of space.

@melodie: only package i can find is matchbox-window-manager but i have the impression that's not what i need.
As i started from zen mini i should have most necessary stuff in.

How can you have E-17 without Agust themes! That is what makes it soo special. The reason Agust themes are a dependency of E17 is because econfig sets up the user account defaulting to one of Agusts awesome themes. I can remove it from ecomph dependency but how are you setting up the theme? Just manually copying a file to the enlightenment theme folder so it is not part of any package?

Hi,

Just look here:
Re: PCLinuxOS Core (nonX iso). Could anyone create?

The matchbox window manager is what centers the initial screens where you set your keyboard before it loads kdm, gdm or xdm.

This is why I think it's (also) needed.

Yeah i just put one or two themes in /usr/share/enlightenment/data/themes so they're accessible for all users on the system.
I copy the complete /root/.e to /etc/skel.
I need to get the iso smaller so i can create a full version with a big collection of light applications and keep it small enough to fit on cd.
Still i won't to provide the ati and nvidia driver to have a working ecomorph straight from the live session.

Thanks melodie gonna install it, anyway at liveboot the screen to ask for keyboard setup popups just fine.

I think so... just I'm more concerned about how it goes at reboot time after install. :)
