[Workarround] Amarok/Firefox conflict
« on: October 12, 2010, 03:34:17 AM »
I've noticed that there is an Amarok/Firefox conflict on my system:

When Amarok is open, I lose all sound abilities in Firefox and when Firefox is open, there is no sound in Amarok. However when I close one, the other starts to work.

Any ideas on how to solve this?

Thanks,

It could be a good behaviour from my point of view since there were some reports on crashes or freezing when/while both work.
I experienced it too.

Now after all the KDE updates I can run several audio streams by different applications simultaneously without crashes.

And only now I notice the news of the KDE update on 5 October :-)

I'll give that a try first.

BTW: Is there really no rrs feed of the news?

I just run Synaptic once per day or two checking for updates.
I think it's better to update frequently by smaller portions.

You know... even Texstar is complaining about Amarok, can you imagine it?
He says disaster! :D

And now he loves Clementine...  :-\

Texstar, would you post a picture of her?
