LXDE Panel Tranparency gone
« on: October 11, 2010, 10:18:55 PM »
After the big update, my panel in LXDE is now unable to do transparency. Did I miss something in another topic somewhere?

I can select "Panel Settings/Appearance/ "Solid Color (with opacity)" and choose the "opacity" amount but the result is just a black panel.

If there is a way to get it to work again I would love to hear how.

If it has been discussed, please excuse me. I didn't see it addressed. (or didn't recognize it as such).

It's not the end of the world if it no longer works but it was nice.  ;)

Thanks all!

Galen,

Did you read through this thread?

I didn't see it addressed specifically, even though it was brought up several times.

I hope I am not starting a thread that already has an answer. LOL

I skimmed it, but didn't have the problem until today, when I logged into lxde. You said in that thread that nothing worked for you. Is this still true?

Yea, nothing discussed in that thread addressed the issue of the "Black Panel". Unless I missed something. I read it very carefully.

As far as I know, It's either,, isolated, or no one else has noticed it because they don't use the feature
