My wife uses a Sansa C250 MP3 player to listen to mp3's of radio programmes that I download for her.
This model does not appear to have a "delete" option in its software (my later Sansa Clip does), so I have always had to delete files using a computer. No problems, until now.
After the update the delete option "removes to trash" instead of deleting. But this it where it's got its wires twisted. As far as the computer is concerned the files are in trash, and come up when I click on Trash in the left panel of PCman, but I cannot delete them from there, it says they don't exist. In the MP3 player itself they are still present and working. Unmounting the player removes the files from the trash folder, remounting brings them back, so they are somehow marked as trash but still on the player. The player just seems to see them as regular files - there is no trash folder on it.
I switched to my old trusty KDE3.5 installation but that couldn't see the trashed files either.
How do I get rid of these files?
