[solved] Toshiba Tecra M5 boot device selection
« on: October 08, 2010, 07:51:19 AM »
I have borrowed a Toshiba Tecra M5 laptop running windows XP I want to boot to BIOS, can't ask the owner as it past midnight here. Anybody point me in the right sequence of events/keys to get into the BIOS to set it booting from DVD drive to get pclos LiveCD up and running.

I know I should have searched Forum and Googled but am kind of busy in Networking section at the moment.   ;D

Try pressing F2 or F1 to enter BIOS, and F10 or F12 for boot menu.

Thank you very much, it was the F12 key that got me to the redish Toshiba screen, and after a while I figured out that I could select the the boot device by selecting the correct icon.

Now happily running the Gnome LiveCD. And I am happy  ;D ;D
