I hope I don't annoy you with my questions about e17...

My last problem is that I noticed, when I have a huge lot of opened windows (that all show in the shelf, namely in the iBar-thingy), they push the gadgets (battery, volume, virtual desktops, clock...) and go behind them, so that neither the gadgets nor the minimized window behind them are usable any more.

Is there a way to block that behaviour, either by grouping similar windows or by reducing their width to show them all without hindering the access to the rest of the shelf? That's be very helpful.

PS: Also, just a detail... the iBar starts from the right, while I'm used to have minimized windows ordered starting from the left, can we change that? That is however not important at all, don't loose time over such a trivial thing, just if there is an easy fix that you know of.

Not sure if there is a grouping option....

But if you right click the shelf then choose the option Begin Moving/Resizing Gadgets you can move the taskbar over to the left. If you want you can delete some of those other gadgets off that shelf to save some space.
make install --not war

Hi coolraoul , right click mousse in Ibar or TaskBar  and select the option "automatically move the contents" .

Thanks!

I didn't find the option "automatically move the contents".
What I did is simply following Lee's option: I resized the iBar, so that it now starts from the left.

But more importantly, I selected the option 'automatically scroll the content", and resized the iBar so as to take all the available place (letting enough for the iTask to expand a bit if needed).

So now, when there are too many minimized applications, instead of expanding without limits under the gadgets, they stay in the iBar and I just need to scroll them with the mouse to select the ones I opened last.

Side effect is that when there is only one minimized application, it shows in the middle of the taskbar... which is in fact more pratical.

So all's good, e17 for the win!!
