Easy RPM

I wondered if anyone here had looked at this package, and if it could be useful for PCLOS ....  after some magic of course   ;D

That's definitely a step in the right direction (if it would work for PCLinuxOS). It may encourage more folks to help with packaging, by eliminating much of the initial sense of being overwhelmed by the current command line approach.

Hmmm ... difference? The one in the repo won't install properly. I tried (based on your suggestion ... I didn't see it in Synaptic the first time I looked), and it messed Synaptic up to where, no matter what I did, it got stuck on the "Applying Changes" dialog box ... forever! Eventually, I had to stop Synaptic and rebuild my rpm database in order to get Synaptic working properly again.

Certainly, you can understand my reluctance in trying it again.
