E17-file manager
« on: September 29, 2010, 05:32:39 PM »
Hello!

On an e17 PCLOS, is there a way to replace the (shitty) files manager with Pcman as the default file manager? So that by clicking on a file, it automaticly opens itself with Pcman rather than with the other one? It'd be very nice!

Thanks in advance.

You can disable the filemanager module in e17 to get rid of it.
In the places gadget you can specify a custom filemanager (pcmanfm, thunar) however you won't have the filemanager integrated in your menu anymore.
Add a launcher for pcmanfm to your ibar or itask-ng.

Hello!
I disabled the module and downloaded Thunar, and made Thunar the default filemanager for Places. And I added a thunar icon to the iBar.

That's all I wanted, a good filemanager!

Thanks.
