Laptop Packard Bell Easynote LJ65 - Sound issue
« on: September 28, 2010, 02:12:41 AM »
Hi all, on this laptop, installed using Pclos 2010.7, the sound card is an intel ‎82801I (ICH9 Family) HD Audio Controller and I have the following issue: sound works only through headphone jacks, not through speakers;

I can use kmix to manage the volume on the headphones all fine ... but this is it

What do you reckon ? I am at loss to find you what's happening

Thanks in advance

Didier

Have you checked the channels using KMix?

Left click on KMix icon > Select Mixer > Settings > Configure Channels - and drag any missing channels over from left panel to right panel

if i remember correct, you have to put the "speaker" on. Ill see the same problem in dell laptops.
In the K-mixer of course.

jyssy , menotu

Thanks for your help, it now works the Speaker was set  to low, it is the first time that I have a laptop with separate channels for speakers & headphones so I never thought to check!
