On updating Avahi stuff today I noticed this error message .....

add-service: Error: avahi-daemon appears multiple times: /etc/rc3.d/S-1avahi-daemon /etc/rc3.d/S54avahi-daemon

True enough the avahi script is there twice.

What should be done?

Are both instances needed?

If they are 100% equal why not renaming one of them (the first, not the second)?
