Bullitt, you said,
"Moniac, I am with you on most you have outlined.  However, could you clarify where I will see/change user and noexec settings.  Will they be in the folder properties or in the NFS share drives..., mount directory advance setting?  I know I'm very close to getting this thing right with your help.  Thank you.Bullitt"

I have tried to make an instruction pdf but I can't seem to find a way to post it here. Maybe you could pm me your email and I will email it to you. Moniac

moniac,

I sent you a PM with my email address.  Thank you.

Hi Bullitt, You said
For example I now have read only-yes, and secured connection-yes.  And I also understand that I need to go to the folder/directory I chose to share and change the permission settings allowing others to view and modify content.

If you want to allow modifying you need to export the share as read and write and mount it on the other computer as read-only - no and user - yes (checked) and noexec unchecked. Noexec gets checked automatically when you check user so uncheck it after you check user.

The above settings will be found in the "Access NFS Shares..." after you establish the mount point click on options, you will be able to make the needed changes outlined by Moniac.

Thank you Moniac for all you assistance.  I have a much better understanding on how to set up NFS file sharing with the needed condition to allow music streaming.
