Greeting to all,
Let me explain who I am first, hohohoho ...
I know it should be not in this room. Please accept my deepest apology.
The above question may be sound simple. But not for me.
I am only a new comer to Linux, it was because I had no job in the office for almost seven months. Hehehe ...
But they keep paying and giving me merit increase. Hoorayy ...
By mistake I found Linux review where PCLinuxOS was at No. 1 compare to others in gaming application.
Since that, I did search for PCLOS. At that time, I have no computer with me. It was too expensive I think.
But to end my curious about PCLOS, I bought a HP DV3 notebook. It is used one, 2nd hand notebook with Win7 pre-installed. Nevermind.
Now, the notebook is dualboot, PCLOS and Win7.
I boot to win7 only for reloading my internet balance, hahahaha !!!! Very cheap, US$ 5 per month, unlimited access, with average 20 KBps speed. Not bad but quite sloooooow.
OK. Enough. I am in wrong room location. I hope nobody here will get angry ...
Back to topic.
I don't know how to install Nvidia G105 M series. I tried to search in this forum, but no luck.
Then I decided to download from Nvidia site and install the driver. It is working.
As you know, the problem is when new kernel applied. I have to reinstall the Nvidia driver manually.
So, if I remove the Nvidia driver, kindly please guide me step by step how to use nvidia driver from the repo?
when the driver removed, it brings me to "black login session" without X started.
Typing STARTX says that no screen recognized.
From that step after removing nvidia driver, what should be done next?
I hope my explanation is clear enough.
Thank you very much for sharing with me.
I do really appreciate your time answering my question.
