desfragmentar en linux?? (aparentemente inservible)
« on: September 22, 2010, 12:42:49 PM »

http://code.google.com/p/defrag/

un saludo

I don't know what you are talking about but this looks like this Mcgrath dude improved the defrag script of Con Kolivas from http://ck.kolivas.org/apps/defrag/

I was crazy enough to try that one.  :)

un saludo

if you use ext3, or ext4, reiser, or any more modern filesystem, they are journaled and take care of defragmentation for you.  you don't have to labour through all the tedious procedures required by windows.

I tried that defrag 0.08v script and then there were (0.0% non-contiguous) files on my /. :)
Not bad but I think it didn't improved boot or something.

Ropnom, to let others know that you have a satisfactory answer, you can modify your first post in the thread and add something appropriate to the topic title, like 'answered'.
