[SOLVED] Thunderbird security request
« on: September 21, 2010, 04:18:00 PM »
Lately when I open Thunderbird, which is set to automatically download my email, after it opens a window pops up with the request to verify the security setting.  My ISP does not offer any security setting so I check "confirm security exception".  Yes, I have "permently store security setting" checked.  This is happening on both of my computers.  I made no changes to Thunderbird and this starting happening before the latest update.

It seems that Thunderbird had set a security protocol for sending my password when my ISP does not expect a secure password.  All set now.  I just reset the security setting, within account setting/server setting to security setting, none, password sent insecurely.

I will mark this solved.
