GTK themes
« on: September 17, 2010, 01:31:48 PM »

Hello,

Would it be possible to get all xfce compatible themes in one file in the repository ?

Terranova midnight appears to be a GTK theme but it blanks out my entire
computer.  Either a broken theme or nonxfce theme in that one.   Take a look
at it sometime.

THX.

.... if you want a vast collection of themes then go over to Xfce Look and download more themes

Sproggy,

Well I bookmarked the page and downloaded an xfce tar.gz file.   I hope I don't
have to compile these.  Can't find the folder where the other themes are at with
SearchMonkey.   Wonder what I am missing ?

thx.

you need to extract the file to /usr/share/themes as root

Hi,

Well that works OK but the theme I downloaded is incompatible with my Firefox and TBird
themes or vice-versa.  I deleted it even hoping after I reboot a couple of times the Mozilla
themes will rework.  I think I'll stay with default chrome and oxygen then, they always work,
maybe even delete the rest from that directory to avoid future experimentation.  Simplicity
has it's advantages today.   That's what I'm starting to like about Xfce.

One more question.  Which directories are the splash screens and the phoenix.png screens
located ?   The wallpaper directories are blank.  Maybe I'll add a picture in there someday.

thanks for your response,
