[solved]how to change paper size
« on: September 16, 2010, 07:42:49 PM »
PCLOS Xfce 32 bit

I can't seem to find a way to change the default paper size for my printer. I went to 'more applications', printing, Xfce4 print dialog and set the paper size to letter (deskjet). When I try to print a page from PCLOS magazine the document size is listed as 11 X 8.5 but the paper is listed as 11.7 X 16.5. What do I need to do to correct this?

Thanks,
Harold

What printer are you using?

How is it connected to your PC (USB, LAN, wireless ...)?

I am not at home right now but I think it is a HP 6650 all-in-one connected by usb. HP for sure and USB for sure. Pretty sure it is a 6650 but not positive. Know it's an all-in-one. I also think that the problem might be because I was dealing with the PDF versions of PCLOS magazine. I switched to the HTML version and was able to copy and paste into OO Writer. I was in a different distro(Mepis 8.5) when I did it but I was not able to print from the PDF version in Mepis 8.5 until I switched to the HTML version.

HUH?  ??? ??? ???

The magazine is laid out with the page filling a landscape 8.5" x 11" (letter size) page.
