[SOLVED] Zen.....Some icons replaced with X
« on: September 13, 2010, 09:16:57 AM »
Hi Folks. Newb here. I just installed zen on my old laptop last week and today noticed that the trash icon on the desktop has turned into a generic file box with an "X" in the middle. The same has happened to my gnome terminal icon in the bottom panel. Both still function when selected. They just lost their pretty icons. I tried re-installing gnome terminal (shot in the dark), but it did not fix it.

Also, just noticed, the SYSTEM selection on the main menu is doing the same thing. Generic Icon with an "X". I'll have to run a disk check on the volume.

Any suggestions on how to fix the icons?

Thanks!

Bobby

After doing a re-install tonight I found the cause. When I go to change the preferences/appearance, and choose CRUX for the window settings, the icons above change to generics. Re-selecting the Zen appearance brings them back.
