2010 Remastering Problem

I hate to be the one to open more wounds but....
I am pretty New to the remastering thing, pretty new to PClos as my linux...
Read everything I could on how to do it, ran the bleachbit and the bleachbit -root ran umount -a
and my linux distro is installed on an SD card, the card is too small (only 8gig) and want to make a livecd so I can reconfig my HD on this laptop and install again. My SD card is marked as sdb1 and mount point is / .
My jump drive is marked as sdc1, here is the output in terminal, any help would be greatly appreciated!

Did I not use the correct switches in the bleachbit apps?
Do I need to run it with all switches turned on?

There is your problem. Size. You can not remaster a 5GB system on 1.3 GB nor on 3.6 GB. Your /media/4G does not have enough space to hold both the temp files and the new ISO. Depending on how much of that 5GB is personal files and how much installed applications, you could have a remaster of around 2 GB or more; temp files plus ISO would in that case be 4GB. Too large.
I'd suggest a back up of personal files and exclude them from the ISO. If that does not reduce the size enough, you would need to remove some of the installed applications.

Let me rephrase Neal's observation. When was the last time you tried to pour a quart of liquid into a pint bottle? How did that work for you?

Another thought concerning the "failure to preserve ownership" error messages; what filesystem is on the partition you are trying to write to?

Ok Second Attempt got a Second 4gig Jump drive and formatted it as Standard Fat32 Named it 4G2, so 2 jump drives both 4 gig and both formatted to fat32, one is really old and only USB 1.1 but the second one is USB 2.0. ran the same script as before only putting tmp files to the older jump and ISO to newer drive.
Basically same result, here is the script dump from terminal...

At the bottom I ran the command [df] and posted that also.
I thank you VERY much for any help and thank you for your help so far, I have 1 last option and that is to use my 16gig jump drive, but that is full of work files for another project I am working on.. I can move the off to windows HD on this system, but that drive is notorious for failing to write at JUST the wrong moment...
Also if it is the Fat32 format of those 2 drives will fat32 be ok for the 16gig jump?

You are in penguin land now. Windows formats (FAT32) know nothing of Linux ownership or permissions. Whatever you try to use for the remastering process needs a Linux file system if you expect to create a successful remaster.

Could you please tell me how to format those 2 drives under Linux?  
As I stated I am kinda a noob with Linux and do not yet have all the commands for terminal memorized yet, have tried using dolphin to format them but only option it gives on right click is unmount, or safely remove. Do I need something other as my file manager to get this to work?

Open PCC (PCLinuxOS Control Center) > click Local Disks > Manage disk partitions. Diskdrake will open. It is the default partitioning tool.

One more question before I attempt this again, if I may.
How do I incorporate the hardware rescan command ( the command that tells Mylivecd to rescan all hardware ) on install?
Here is the code I have now, but I saw someplace that it was possible to have the Mylivecd command rescan for new hardware, when it is booting up.

I tried using [mylivecd -help] from terminal but does not display anything referring to hardware reset...
did see [--bootopt ] command but cannot get more info on it from there. am currently trying to google that info, but I think you gentlemen would know better than any other site, so...
Would this be SOOOOOOO much easier if I already knew all this stuff

I am currently burning to dvd which has taken 35 minutes so far!!!
Not due to really slow Burner, but from burner WAITING on Buffer to pull info from that darn USB1.1 device I used
