Hello everyone.
A couple of days ago I saw my wireless connection not working. Puzzled I saw that the ath5k driver keeps giving me the errors, "gain calibration timeout", and "noise floor calibration timeout". At first I thought it was the hardware. (I took it to Best Buy and had one of their technicians look at it. After booting it the guy saw, at first, the connection didn't work. But then after flipping the Wi-Fi switch on and off [damn Toshiba] he was able to get it work in Windows.) It has worked a little in Windows. But when I switch it over to PCLinuxOS it won't work at all.
Now I wonder if it has to do with the kernel. I haven't updated it recently (heck, I uninstalled a kernel over a week ago). So I don't know if it's the hardware or what.
If anyone's wondering I'm using a Toshiba A305D-S6848 Satellite laptop. It's almost two years old.
