"speechd: Directory .speech-dispatcher not found in home"
« on: September 05, 2010, 09:29:33 AM »
On every bootup the subject message appears. How to create this? Speech dispatcher is running. Could it have any relation to why Jovie (Text-to-Speech) won't hold between reboots. It should remain enabled and appear in system tray.

Have you checked in home and also searched for speechd.

You may have to create this directory for the message to disappear.
In home try:

mkdir .speech-dispatcher

I've tried that in /home/myusername; no change on bootup. Should it actually be in /home? That would be strange.
