I believe its being held back because of PCLinuxOS being Spambotted the other week and I don't think Tex wants to take a chance with any infection still lurking around.

Why not move the Wiki to the community project site (MyPCLinuxOS)? This way, any attacks on the Wiki side won't bring down the entire main site.

Just throwing that idea out there ....

Is the wiki being updated?  My experience is that the data (that which I have looked at)  there pertains mostly  to 3.5.10.

A few pages were being updated randomly but then this attack happened.

Hi,

A wiki can be protected. Some extensions do exist for that. I had brought the result of some researches I had done at mylivecd.com forum, in the thread where we talked about the wiki. I had especially taken time to go talk on their chan with the people who are involved in this wiki development, to get to know about the most appropriate plugins for this purpose.

One thing is sure, is that some people have worked hard on it, settled it, configured it (eventually not the same people) and some have put lots of efforts in it, first, to bring back documentation that had been already lost in a former wiki, and could be found page by page at archives.org, and some have worked hard create new documentation.

This is now after summer and for the coming winter that more docs could be brought there, and start really helping beginners + interest them to get involved in writing documentation from their own experience.

Could this wiki be restored ?

Parnote: the forum at mypclinuxos.com doesn't allow to use the buttons of the editor anymore, Neal told me "because of spammers". If the wiki don't have buttons useable in the editor, it's not even worth trying to get people to write in it. No one will nowadays try to learn the wki syntax, I think ?
