Mini Openbox and gui logout issue - request for help -
« on: September 01, 2010, 05:07:43 AM »
Hello,

I am trying to do a very small Openbox version, that I started to do from the cli iso created recently by etjr. This lead to 2 versions for now, one without any panel, no gtk2 theme... just all in the right-click menu. It is a 238 MB iso. The second version has a lxpanel and a python script to replace lxde-logout command, a nice GTK2 theme, Gartoon Redux icons, and new window borders and it is 254 MB. Both are intended to run on old hardware with the possibility to create all possible personal versions that people can fancy, starting from the cleanest and smallest base possible.

I put a thread here : pclinuxos-openbox-mini-2010-09-01 and before, here: pclinuxos-openbox-mini 2010-7_04 : on top of cli.iso

If some people are interested in the matter, they are welcome to come help me, as some issues let met unsatisfied. Here what is needed is to know well the PCLinuxOS system and the way it works. There is a DNS issue for which I found only a turn-around, and a logout issue with a shutdown-dialog.py script for which I don't understand why it does not work in the Mini Openbox, as in a full version it works perfectly.

Thanks,
Mélodie
