SOLVED -- wxcam and cheese not working

When I first installed wxcam some weeks ago it worked right away. Now, after a few updates I get the error message - Can't open /dev/video0. Which is not surprising as there is no file or directory video0

With cheese it opens with a big red cross and the error message No device found.

Any help will be much appreciated

Edit - There's no smiley for a red face. I didn't have the webcam plugged in.


Now they're both working fine.
