[LXDE] Is there a way to see all the windows on all desktops ?

Hi there,

I'm using 4 desktops, and since I have a good processor and some RAM, in no time I find myself with lot of applications running in the various desktops.

So something I have some trouble to find in which desktop a application is running.

In KDE you can set up the screen to show you all running application when you move your mouse on the border of the screen.


Is something like this exists in LXDE ?
Or any way to see a list of all running applications in all desktop ?

KDE effects do not exist in LXDE.
In the icon for each desktop on lxpanel, you can see which has apps open and how many are showing (you need to count them).

Right-click on the Task bar in the main panel, it is the area where opened programs show. Choose "Task Bar (Window list) Settings" and there is "Show windows from all desktops".

Or any way to see a list of all running applications in all desktop ?

LXTask Manager shows all processes running on the machine.
You can put them in different view order.

You can try conky too.

I miss the choice in the task bar => will test that tonight

Task Manager / conky => will show the process and not only applications, right ?
Will give it a try anyway

You ought to have it. It is difficult to right-click on the Task Bar itself when it's filled by windows. You should be very precise in order to click between them. So try it in an empty desktop. You should see this


When you choose the upper option you should see and choose the next:


By the way if you increase the spacing you'll be able to right-click on an empty area.
