Bumped up to 2 GIG RAM
« on: August 27, 2010, 11:23:46 AM »
Just bumped up my old HP compaq 2004 model Desktop computer from 512 MB RAM to 2 GIG Ram.
WHAT AN AMAZING difference in the speed, it now runs PCLinux KDE 2010.2 live CD as fast, if not faster, than
the installed system with 512 MB of RAM.

I installed 2- 1GIG sticks for $ 55.00 each purchased locally.

More RAM is the single most effective upgrade one can do - to any computer.   ;)
