PCLOS XFCE (phoenix)

I have installed epdfview and I want to make it the default pdf viewer.

How do I do that - for the whole system?  For firefox?

I have tried in Firefox when opening a pdf - it asks, wants to use Gimp, when I select to use another application, I see the filesystem but have no idea where/how to find epdfview.

Thanks

Hi Sproggy

When I select "open application with" I get the whole filesystem - how do I find where Epdfview is in the whole confusing maze?

can't you just type Epdfview in the textbox at the top?

No, I can't type in the text box, it only allows me to select from a drop down menu, which is the whole filesystem.

Anyway, I have found it, it was at /usr/bin/epdfview.

So it is all set now, but honestly I thought it would have been easier. I think that somewhere in PCLOS control centre there should be a section to set default file associations.

But then I try to avoid the terminal like the plague.

Thanks for your help everyone.
