« on: August 19, 2010, 02:37:26 PM »
Dear readers

I have Artec T14BR DVB-T i suppose that the
module is dib0700

How to install that DVB-T dongle?

I downloaded dvb-usb-dib0700-1.20.fw

How to install?

What commands must be used and in
what order?

Dear Readers,

I have continued to find out a solution for using Artec T14BR DVB-T.

It requires following firmware: dvb-usb-dib0700-1.20.fw

Problems with installing dvb-usb-dib0700-1.20.fw

I find an rpm-3.0.6-4.i386.rpm from Mandriva repository.

Tried command: rpm -i rpm-3.0.6-4.i386.rpm

which resulted in:
error: Failed dependencies:
        rpm < 4.4.1 conflicts with update-alternatives-1.9.0-1pclos2007.noarch
        rpm < 4.2.2 conflicts with glibc-2.10.1-3pclos2010.i586
        rpm < 4.2.3-6mdk conflicts with multiarch-utils-1.0.9-4pclos2007.noarch
        rpm < 4.4 conflicts with multiarch-utils-1.0.9-4pclos2007.noarch

How can those conflicts be solved?

Why are you using a Mandriva RPM?

Do you have access to the firmware (as a .fw file)?

There is, IIRC, a directory for firmware...you just need to copy into it...have the driver installed, and it should be recognized at boot up...
I need to check the locations, but I know this worked in the past fine for a Happauge 1600 card...

EDIT
The location in question is
Code: [Select]
/lib/firmware/...copy the .fw files into there, and get the proper modules loaded...
