E17 - how do I change the mouse pointer graphic? [solved]
« on: August 23, 2010, 06:58:53 PM »
PCLOS e17

I have found in settings > settings panel > look > mouse cursor that I can switch between the X cursor and the Enlightenment cursor. I prefer the simpler X cursor.

When I hold the cursor over an item that can be clicked, the cursor changes to a hand with pointing finger. (normal behaviour.)  The hand/finger graphic that comes up isn't nice to look at - I have used other distros with a better looking "click finger". I have no idea where or how to select a different "click finger" graphic.

Also, even if I select the Enlightenment pointer, when I go into Firefox or Opera, the mouse cursor changes to the standard X cursor, a plain black arrow.  I don't really like the Enlightenment mouse cursor any way, but I'm curious why this happens.

But my main purpose for this post is to find out how to edit or change the "click finger" mouse pointer.

thanks.

You can change that with the lxcursor program from Synaptic:

lxcursor - A program to change your cursor theme.

Every windows machine has an un-patchable critical vulnerability... Its called "Power ON" switch.
