Login Icon problem since massive upgrade on the weekend
« on: August 17, 2010, 08:36:08 PM »
Ever since I did the huge upgrade from last weekend my Login Icons cannot be changed? They are all Penguins. Yes I tried going to Control Center and System, Manage Users then Edit and change the icon but they just wont change??? I also noticed that after I do the edit change, the only option seems to be 'Quit'?? Sorry, but quit imply's to me, get out and don't change anything. I thought there should be a 'save' function but I don't see one and I can't remember seeing one before so I would assume that quit means save the current updates and get out. It was working before the update but now it won't work.
Another test -  I did an Edit on a user entry, went to Account Info, changed the icon the select OK then File Quit. If I go back in again the icon is now something different???? Its like the OK or Save function isnt working? It worked before but now appears to be broke.
Is this a bug introduced by all those updates???

There are similar threads already, they say it's a temporary KDE bug that should be fixed soon.
Workaround here that that I've not been tried yet.
