How to create a Windows XP live CD ...using Linux

How to create a Windows XP live CD ...using Linux?

Here I will try it:
1- Install PClinuxOS
2- Install VirtualBox
3- Install Windows XP (Micro XP) into VBOX
4- Remove all unneeded applications, also the WM and the DE
5- On boot through command line start the Windows XP image
6- Voila, now you can run in Linux mylivecd and have an hybrid XP/Linux livecd.

The problem I think I will encour is when removing the WM, but I think its possible, if really not, then I will use a lightweight one.

Problems:
How do I run my command on boot??

Suggestion appreciated

While not attempting to answer your question about how to launch the command, I thought I might bring to your attention the existence of a micro cli.iso of PCLOS, and also a mini OpenBox based on that ISO.
There would be little or no need to remove anything from either of those.

What is the mimimum space requirement for installing MicroXP in VBox?
Will it make the resultant ISO very large?

It might be more interesting for a LiveUSB project rather than a liveCD ..... more flexible ...

Thanks for your suggestion

Micro XP needs:
39 MB of RAM and around 200 MB of space. It can fit in a CD, but it will probably be a DVD.
Maybe you are right, a live USB is better, I will try that too.

Where can i download that: "micro cli.iso" ???

Sorry omitted the link .....  please note it is not a 'proper' release of PCLOS, just something that a member is working on, as I understand it ....

those micro xp versions are so modified that you can't really do much with them

also there is a legal side that will give you problems, you know, where is the serial number?

if i want a xp livecd with linux style all i need to do is open this website

http://www.ubcd4win.org/

you need a xp installation disc to create the livecd but the process is simple and can be done inside a virtual machine or with wine, it will create a iso that can be loaded as any linux distro but is not as fast as pclinux, useful for some recovery tasks

Well I have an installation CD ....    but that site is of no use to me as it also requires an installed Win to run from.
Now if I understand the EULA correctly you cannot make two installations from the one source .......

Result ......  if I am going to go into the grey area, I would prefer to use the CD for one installation, even though it may as described in the OP.

In any case, it is interesting more from a technical point of view than a usage on to me ......  I have no NEED of any Win installation.
