[SOLVED] mail-notification opens a blank window

I upgraded to KDE 4.5 and now when I run the mail-notification program, it opens a blank window and a blank entry in my task bar. Whenever I try to close the window, it crashes plasma.  I have tried to apply special window settings to make it skip the task bar, but there isn't enough information in the window properties to uniquely identify the window.  Any suggestions on where to go from here?

Looking at your picture, top left corner is that the famous stamp that was caused during the recent upgrade to KDE 4.5.0 ?  If you have upgraded within the last day or two this ought to have gone in my opinion. Time is running away for me so I am not exactly sure when the upgrading took place but I would recommend doing another update and see if that stamp goes away.  Then see about mail-notification.

Or has it all cleared itself already?

I updated again this morning and the "stamp" problem went away.  Thanks!

And your mail notification is playing up still?

After this morning's update, the mail-notification application is functioning as expected.

Wooow, that is really nice, I was hoping this might happening but one can never be sure. Well enjoy you time with pclos and on forum, great store of knowledge. I guess you ahve found the search tab, in the top line, 3rd from left.  Not the white field on the right 

So now the problem is solved, you go back to your first entry and modify the subject line with [solved]
