I used unetbootin to install PCLOS KDE 2010.7 on my WD Passport. Everything loaded out of the box on the Samsung NC-20 except the back light, and the sound. This was remedied with the scripts used for the NC-10 model. As for the sound control, all I had to do was add a speaker control in Kmix.
It wasn't surprising that it found its native resolution of 1280 x 800 without any tinkering since it is PCLOS. It came with a gig of ram, and it uses about 400 megs when browsing FF, and an app open. I don't think a non Linux system could claim that.
