[Sorted] Uninstalling Google Gadgets
« on: August 16, 2010, 05:21:08 AM »
This appears to have the effect of uninstalling KDEBluetooth as it depends on the now meta-package kdebase4-workspace.

Is there a workaround for this situation?

Wait for the bluetooth package to be updated before uninstalling google-gadgets I guess.

EDIT:
Yep will wait until all packages have been updated for KDE4.5

I have unistalled kdebluetooth, it's no longer maintained and was then replaced by kbluetooth, but the new bluetooth stack for kde is BlueDevil. Here is the link to the author's page http://www.afiestas.org/bluedevil-1-0-review/.

I asked for this package already and is on the repos rightnow, have installed but it crashes somtimes.

Its difficult to know what is the best/correct setup ....  I am certainly confused by the similar packages available ......

bluedevil
blueman
bluez ...  various packages
kdebluetooth4

I will wait, I think, until all the package updates come through before worrying about what I need and what I don't.

regards.
