wow, that was a lot of info. There will be a lot less back and forth if people produced half what you did when asking for support, congratulations.

your wlan0 has an ip address which means everything is working as expected and you should be able to go online. is there any other computer on the network? can it go online? do you have a firewall on?
.. 3 things are certain in life : death, taxes and software bloat ..
.. tell me something i don't know, something i can use as i struggle to reason with the world around me ..

It goes online for about 20 secs then dies and i have to restart the internet connection so it will last another 20 secs which is not enuff time to figure anything out
I am using a netgear wg111v2 usb stick for connection

how strong is the signal?

after it disconnect, can you open the terminal and log in as root and then type this command and then show its output here? (copy and paste the command on the terminal)

cat /var/log/syslog | tail -n 100

The interesting line is this one:

Aug 14 14:08:43 localhost klogd: wlan0: deauthenticating from 00:12:17:cd:f5:bd by local choice (reason=3)

your computer is disconnecting from the network for some reason. You can search google for "deauthenticating from by local choice reason 3" and see if anything comes up. Somebody samewhere said disabling power management on the interface with "iwconfig wlan0 power off" command worked for them, another person in another website said he had multiple instances of "wpa_supplicant" processes running and killing all but one solve the problem.
.. 3 things are certain in life : death, taxes and software bloat ..
.. tell me something i don't know, something i can use as i struggle to reason with the world around me ..

[root@localhost ~]# iwconfig wlan0 power off
Error for wireless request "Set Power Management" (8B2C) :
SET failed on device wlan0 ; Operation not supported.
[root@localhost ~]#

that is what i got this time from that command

I also tried black listing rtl8187 and installing windows driver but it wouldnt work either ???
I have another older 2wire 802.11 usb wireless adapter legacy version
but it would not seem to install either

What type is the different wifi adapter? Can you try to connect using the livecd? Perhaps the installed files are a bit mangled. Can you temporally turn off encryption on the wifi router and see if you can connect?

Thinking about it more,

Quote
Quality=32/70  Signal level=-78 dBm

I know these numbers can sometimes be taken with a grain of salt, but the quality figure indicates it is less that half the maximum. How far away is the router from the dongle? Can you move one closer to the other?

That just verifies that IPV6 is not used yet, in the US at least. It should have no bearing on the current problem.

Try changing RESOLV_MODS=no too RESOLV_MODS=yes just a shot in the dark.

You could also try adding  FORWARD_IPV4=true

Have you tried using wicd net manager for the usb wireless?

The ndiswrapper with the windowsdriver has better results.
