Kmenu panel Icon
« on: August 10, 2010, 09:20:45 PM »
Guys is it still possible to have the Kmenu's panel Icon be a "menu" button or something other than a square icon?
In KDE3.5 the kickoff menu used a different icon format (.mng) than the classic Kmenu which used .png image.
If I replace the /usr/share/icon/current-icon-set/current-size/places/start-here-kde.png file with something other than a square image it will mash it in the panel and distort it.  Could this maybe be done with a svg image instead of a png?
Anybody know where the config file is that tells kde to do this?

That^ is how you change your icon.

No, you can't have a non-square icon.
It's a currently the only limitation.
