Panel problems [SOLVED]
« on: August 05, 2010, 03:49:15 AM »
I've screwed up the panel and can't remember how to get the proper display back as it was. I think I did some tampering with Task Manager and the systray has moved to the centre with the clock and the two small icons lock and leave have shifted to the far left. I have tried to fix for the last 15 minutes. Help please.

Hi rikki,

Have you got the Smooth Task widget installed? Try (re)installing that (after installation it should drop it into the centre of the panel)

After installing that, select the Cashew again to open the panel and that should now allow you to drag your "lock & Leave" icons back to the right hand side.

If that doesn't help post back

I've just installed the Smooth Task widget but it is sitting on the desktop and the Firefox icon has disappeared from the panel.

Delete it from the desktop and when you open the panel again to add it back, try just double clicking it, and that should  drop it into the panel

Right, done that and I now have been able to drag/shift the clock and systray to the right where they were but the two small lock/logout icons refuse to shift from the far left.

Smooth task widget comes installed by default. Why are you installing it again to your desktop?

Thanks to everyone who donates. You keep the servers running.
