Fn function keys on Acer Aspire 7745

Hi,
I have installed PCLosOS LXDE on this Acer Aspire 7745. It works great except most of the Fn Function keys don't work. I would like to be able to adjust the screen brightness and turn the wireless on and off. I have been poking around for days but haven't found a solution. I tried all of the Acer keyboard profiles in the control center.
Hotkeys and kbd/keytouch don't seem to be a solution.

Has anybody got a suggestion?

I still haven't been able to get the Fn Function keys to work properly. I can remap keys to normal alphabet keys but anything with XF86xxxxxxx simply does not work. Does anyone on the forum have a solution? It has been quite a while since the original post, without any replies.
