genomegaWell done, you are correct.

The programming of the actions are only for techie types and I guess somebody was interested enough to take on the Automatic or context sensitive programming. The idea being that depending on what you have selected, this selection is analysed and in the pop up window you are offered actions that can deal with this particular situation.
I only found out more by accident after my last post, just before leaving forum for the night. I decided to do one last google and first hit I looked at was this:
http://dimsuz.wordpress.com/2009/04/01/klipper-updates/Perhaps does not look much to most people but a closer look tells quite a story, at least when I saw this things started to fall into place. For example if you look at my second picture, the pop up actions which shows a couple of question marks, I thought that was reflecting my programming attempt, but they had already been wiped out, I should have thought harder at this stage. I read the manual instead but did not find anything else that confirmation that it worked the same as in kde 3.5.x.
Instead of hand program my old actions into the KDE 4.4.5 I opted for installing a modified version of the KDE 3.5.x
klipperrc, the file that does hold the programming but I failed.
Could you post your file so I can have alook at your syntax and try to crrect my own to suit?
/home/gert/.kde4/share/config/klipperrcBy any chance have you found out how to turn off the
Automatic part, leaving only your own Actions? I can see some benefit in that.
