I am away from my Eeep at the moment and can't verify the actual name of the application, but there is an item which allows the hiding of the taskbar, and in 2009 also made fan speed adjustable and permitted a couple of other minor tweeks. I applied it via Synaptic to my LXDE 2010 SD install and was able to get the Taskbar to hide. There is an entry in the PCC list that doesn't react to clicking, but no other Preferences are to be found. The fan, meanwhile, is strangely silent.
Does anyone (Neal?) know whether the settings are automagically integrated and set by 2010 when it spies an Eeep, or is there more to it? I really don't want to toast my processor.
Thanks.
