[SOLVED] Minimized Tasks Missing
« on: July 24, 2010, 11:52:51 AM »
When I minimize a task, ie FireFox, it no longer shows on the desktop or panel! I have no way of knowing what tasks are running. I am running 2010.07 KDE4
Thanks for your help

Right click on task bar, unlock widgets, Add back the smooth tasks widget.

Thanks to everyone who donates. You keep the servers running.

Hi dlambert - after you've added it back you can always "lock" the panel which in theory should stop it disappearing again  :D

To lock it just right click the Cashew icon and select "Lock Widgets"
PCLinuxOS 32bit KDE 4.10.1; kernel-3.4.11-pclos1.bfs & 64bit 3.2.18bfs; NVidia GeForce 8400GS 1GB 310.19 driver

Thanks so much! I knew it must be easy, but when you don't know, you don't know!

One other question, I got it on the desktop, but how can I move it the the panel.
Thanks again

I think what I'd probably do is just delete the one on the desktop.

Now, click on the Cashew on the panel (right hand side) and select Add Widgets and then scroll to (or search) the Smooth Tasks widget:  Now just double click it and that will drop it into the panel - and thats it.

Note - you may have to position it in the panel.
